COERR Mae Sot organized “Elder Students Teaching Classes” at Ban Umpiem Temporary Shelter, Phop Phra District, Tak Province, during November 20-25, 2021, in which 61 children of 32 girls and 29 boys attended.
This activity was launched due to the school closure during Covid-19 pandemic. Although teaching on line was provided, the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of online learning were not able to compare with onsite learning. This could cause problems, like the learning loss for many children that could lead to disruption in learning process, impact of main knowledge loss and development of children in the long run.
COERR, therefore, organized “Elder Students Teaching Classes” to promote a team of youth gathering to provide education to the children at home or any landmark in the village. This project was aimed to enable children to continue education and learning development despite the pandemic; to prevent children’s learning loss; and to spend time on strengthening relationship and friendship among children and youth members in the community.
